Message from AIVC

AFGHANISTAN & IRAQ VETERANS FOR CONGRESS

Two candidates for the same office could not be more different.

On the one hand, you have Congressman Jim Moran (D, Virginia), a liberal twenty year incumbent.  Moran was the keynote speaker at the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) annual banquet just last month.  He supports CAIR even though the group has long had a cozy relationship with Islamic terror groups and was named by federal prosecutors as an unindicted coconspirator in a Hamas fundraising case.

You may recall Moran from his tirade against a 27 year US military veteran at a town hall meeting last spring.  Moran berated the vet who dared to question him.  Moran scolded the vet hollering, "sit down...or you can leave."

Or perhaps Moran's name is familiar because he was at the center of a crony capitalism scandal where he used his position as a Member of Congress to steer federal contracts to a company that had donated nearly a million dollars to his own political action committee and affiliated campaigns.

On the other hand, there is Col. Patrick Murray US Army, Ret.  Col Murray (R, Virginia) served this great
nation for 24 years including tours of duty in Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, the former West Germany and the former Soviet Union.  Col. Murray was also chosen to serve in the U.S. Department of State alongside America's Diplomatic Corps and at the United Nations as the U.S. military representative in the UN Security Council.

For a quarter century Col. Murray epitomized selfless service to country and he is right on the issues that matter most to you and your family.  Col. Murray understands that the private sector drives job creation.  He knows that when people are allowed to keep more of their own money the economy grows.  Because of his life's work, Col. Murray knows better than most the importance of President Reagan's credo, Peace Through Strength.

If you think a conservative career Army officer should represent Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon and the good people of Virginia's 8th Congressional District, then please, contribute directly to Col. Patrick Murray today.

Whether it is $10, $20, $50, $100 or more, your contribution will go a long way toward replacing a card carrying member of the broken Washington establishment with a man of integrity and ideas.

So please, no matter the size of your investment directly to Col. Murray's campaign, every penny of your contribution today will go toward victory.
