House Panel OKs Bill to Improve Treatment of Veterans With Brain Injuries
The House Veteran's Affairs Subcommitte approved House Resolution 2199 (HR 2199) today that will increase financial support for the treatment of veterans with traumatic brain injuries, authorize new traumatic brain-injury research centers and mandate a comprehensive program for treating traumatic brain injuries.
The bill was sponsored by Health Subcommittee Chairman Michael H. Michaud, D-Maine, and is expected to pass during a vote on the House floor before the Memorial Day weekend.
