I served from 1955 to 1963 overseas in the USAFSS. Never got a medal, Even the National Defense medal was not given to us. Wonder who we defended? Can't even join the American Legion, or FW. I was even told I was no Veteran when i a applied in my state for vet benefits. I lost some of my friends who where shot down by a mig in 57. Peacetime vets they dare insult with this damm tag. The Vietnam memorial wall has the The date "1959" engraved on the upper left hand corner of the first panel on the east side of The Wall. Yet dod disfranched thousands of guys who served during this time and are tagged second class veterans. A really pissed off guy here, when I think of the dishoner of those who during the time in the cold war gave their all.
