Dear Congresswoman Pingree:

The Christmas break is almost upon us. Before the beak I have a request that would be like a Christmas present to our veterans.

Please become a cosponsor for three bills that are in the House right now.
H.R. 4051 The Cold War Medal Act 2009
H.RES.900 Supporting the goals and ideals of a Cold War Veterans Recognition Day
This would designate May 1 as Cold War Veterans Recognition Day.
This is similar to the Cold War Victory Day (and the same date) that you
helped champion in the Maine Legislature.
H.CON.RES. 207 Expressing the sense of the Congress regarding the victory of the United States in The Cold War and the Fall of the Berlin Wall.

Our country's veterans are waiting for this long overdue recognition, and a small Thank You from our country.

Seventeen years since the end of the Cold War is too long. Restore our
faith, let us know that what we did mattered to peace in the world.
