IAVA Vote Smart For Vets Voting Guide

IAVA

Vote Smart For Vets

Sean,

With all the talking heads, photo ops and paid advertisements these days, it's hard to know which candidates truly support veterans. But the stakes are too high to elect politicians that stop at "thank you for your service" when it comes to the veteran community.

This campaign season, your vote counts more than ever. Republican, Democrat or Independent, this voter guide will help you cast a vote for candidates with smart policy and real dedication to supporting new veterans and their families.IAVA's guide lays out the top five issues IAVA members have told us are most important: lowering the veteran unemployment rate, defending the Post-9/11 GI Bill, ending veteran suicide, reforming the VA disability process and supporting women veterans. Each issue comes with quick background, key stats and a short checklist of questions your candidates should be able to answer.

Our votes matter and it's time to hold our leaders accountable. Whether you've served or not, we have a moral obligation to cast smart votes for the men and women who protect our country.

Use our guide as you watch the presidential debate tomorrow - and every chance you get until November 6th. Stick it in your pocket or keep it on your phone. This guide is designed to be a tool for all American voters who care.

If we all ask the tough questions, we'll get the real answers.

Best,

Paul
