USO: step up to take care of our wounded, ill and injured troops

Dear USO Supporter --

Today, people from all over the country are stepping up to take care of our wounded, ill and injured troops and I wanted to make sure you saw the email that sparked this amazing outpouring of support.

Every time we ask our troops what you and the USO can do for them, their #1 request is: Please do whatever it takes to care for our buddies who have been wounded in battle.

Now, you have the chance to honor this request.

Donate now to the USO's "Here for America's Heroes" campaign to help stock the first USO Warrior and Family Care Center in the United States and provide support for morale boosting programs and services for our troops.

Please, take a moment to check out the original email below. And thank you for supporting these brave men and women.

Subject: Our troops' #1 request

Dear USO Supporter --

Our troops don't ask for a lot. In fact, it's just the opposite. They give our country so much while asking for very little in return.

But, when we press them on what they need, and how the USO can help, this is their number one request: Please do whatever it takes to care for our buddies who have been wounded in battle.

And today, we have the opportunity to do just that.

Join the USO's Here for America's Heroes Campaign. Stock the first USO Warrior and Family Center in the United States.

If we can raise $200,000 by October 1st, we'll have the resources to fully stock the new USO Warrior and Family Center adjacent to the Community Hospital at Ft. Belvoir and provide support for the USO's other programs and services for our troops. With your help we can send all the touches of home our wounded troops need while they heal with honor and reclaim the bright future they deserve.

Please make a generous donation to help meet our $200,000 Here for America's Heroes goal by October 1st -- and honor the troops' request with programs and services provided here at home and across the globe.

A wounded warrior's journey to recovery can take months, even years. That's why it's critical to provide a homelike environment full of the supplies, resources and little touches of comfort to ease their burden during the healing process.

Every dollar you contribute to this important effort will make the path forward just a little easier for a healing hero who put it all on the line for us and will help us continue to provide morale boosting programs and services for all our troops.

This is about being there for our troops and their families when they need us most and staying by their side along every step in their journey to recovery.

Show you are Here for America's Heroes -- pitch in to our crucial $200,000 goal towards stocking our new center at Ft. Belvoir and providing morale boosting programs and services for all our troops.

The clock is ticking on this crucial undertaking. Our troops have asked us to step up and lead for their wounded buddies. Let's make sure we never let them down.

For our healing heroes,

Rear Admiral Frank Thorp, USN (Ret.)
Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, USO
