MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCIV) -- Members of the U.S.S. Laffey Association held a memorial ceremony Tuesday aboard the ship.

Anchored at Patriots Point, the Laffey was first commissioned in 1944 and was dubbed, "The Ship That Would Not Die." It was decommissioned in 1981.
